At Phexum, we are looking for an AI Modernization Developer / Consultant to transform our clients' legacy software systems using modern artificial intelligence technologies. In this role, you will modernize infrastructures that have not yet been integrated into the AI ecosystem through MCP (Model Context Protocol) and LLM (Large Language Model) integrations, delivering smart solutions and innovative architectural ideas for client systems. Since this role operates on a consulting model, it primarily requires working on-site at client locations and includes local and out-of-town travel (including multi-day stays) based on project needs. General Requirements & Qualifications: - Field & Travel Flexibility: No restrictions on local/out-of-town travel or multi-day stays at client locations for project assignments. - Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and active driving experience (Nice to have). - Core Infrastructure Knowledge: Solid grasp of foundational networking, microservices, and containerization concepts such as HTTP, TCP, API Gateways, and Docker. - Modern Tech & Language Mastery: Strong command of modern software development languages, frameworks, and architecture patterns. - LLM & MCP Integration: Hands-on experience or strong capability to quickly design solutions using LLMs, MCP (Model Context Protocol), and agentic architectures. - Problem Solving & Solution Engineering: Ability to analyze legacy codebases, brainstorm modernizations, and engineer practical, sustainable technical solutions.

• Analyze client legacy systems and infrastructures to design and implement LLM and MCP integration architectures.
• Build secure, high-performance, and scalable bridges between traditional systems and modern AI services using HTTP, TCP, API Gateways, and Docker.
• Generate technical proposals and lead initiatives to empower legacy applications with next-generation AI capabilities.
• Work actively on-site at client locations to manage modernization and deployment processes locally.
• Diagnose technical bottlenecks during integration and architect custom solutions aligned with client infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with client technical teams to drive end-to-end system modernizations.
